  Great quality traditional and modern food offering.  Always very fresh and delicious.   There is another Japanese restaurant in town...  i do prefer the ambiance at the other one, but Otoro more than makes up for it with the food quality.

  Last minute late dinner decision.  We arrived around 8pm and the place was full.  With the only spot open at the sushi bar. This was a "bad spot"
  To sit when indecisive.... every tray that was being made was a "we should try that".  
  
  Finally one roll was undeniable ... and it had tobiko (something we said we would get next time).
  The special for the night was a poke poke roll.  $18.50.  I know I know the price for a single roll is a put off but it's BIG!!! And worth it.   Sushi roll filled with Tuna, and something else, rolled with avocado, sliced and laid on its side then topped with 3 types of poke fish (tuna, yellowtail and ?) mixed with mango, seaweed salad and a nice light sauce,  topped with tobiko and garnished with green onions.  Amazing!!!
  
  We also ordered spicy California roll, tuna roll and salmon roll.  We think they mixed up the order as we got something different ...no biggie
  
  Total bill $45  not bad!! Till next time!

  I wish I could rate the food? Maybe,,
  Excuse for ignoring our table on my birthday if you were busy? Nope,,,only one other couple it was 5:45pm,,,,
  Then we were grunted and pointed where to sit....oh seriously I thought this might be the worse part.. no it was not....
  Then after at least 8 minutes.. did I mention there was only one table with two sitting at it? Yes 8 minutes..a woman who had her back to us on the phone,,,,flagged a very young man to bring us menus. No water, no greeting nothing..
  here is the kicker...he actually tossed nearly threw the pile of huge heavy menus at us and turned and bolted. NO that did not happen...but alas it did.
  At this point we are getting scared....still no greeting no water no words... it's been approx 20 min.
  So rather than try to imagine there may be something wonderful at the end of the rainbow we bolted...actually casually got up,,and headed for the door. Not a peep. The woman still on the phone with her back to us. Not a word from either of the young men who were simply wandering around not doing a darn thing,
  Perhaps one of the worse intros to any restaurant in sonoma county I have ever encountered.
  So the star is really a zero for nothing but horrible non existent rude treatment...without as much as a word or a drop of water.
  If the woman on the phone was on an emergency call...I apologize and would understand,,but in that case the young man could have said something...
  Epic failure.
  No soup for me.

  Quaint little Sushi joint located on the outskirts of Healdsburg.
  
  Not the most ideal location for a sushi restaurant as it is located at what most would consider a business complex with not much signage indicating there is a restaurant inside. The inside is nice and inviting and the staff is very warm. The menu is quite large, so get ready to sit down and read a novel of drool worth sushi options. As for pricing, it is very affordable and the portions are quite large for what you pay for, so no complaints for me. I opted to order both the Avocado Roll and Heavy Metal roll (Spicy Tuna, Unagi, Avocado, and Macadamia Nuts). Fish was very fresh, and everyone else was on the same page as well with their dishes.
  
  Honestly I need to revisit this fine establishment again very soon as they serve some top quality sushi, especially compared to some other sushi restaurants nearby.

  Currently lodging in Healdsburg notice small sushi restaurant in the corner decided to come
  Try it.  Very delicious!  Ordered teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura roll.
